Ex-Liverpool player Roberto Firmino has spoken about the strained relationship between his attacking partners at the club, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah.
ESPN quotes Firmino with reference to his book "Si Senor: My Liverpool Years":
I knew those guys very well, maybe better than anyone. It was me out there on the field, right in the middle of them. I saw first-hand the looks, the grimaces, the body language, the dissatisfaction when one was mad at the other. I could feel it. I was the link between them in our attacking play and the firefighter in those moments.
Recall, the Brazilian joined the Reds in 2015, moving from Hoffenheim, and left the club in the summer of 2023 after his contract expired, later moving to Al-Ahli in the Saudi Arabian championship.
At the moment, only Salah, who recently broke Thierry Henry's record for goals for English teams in European competitions, remains in Liverpool.
