Barcelona's 35-year-old Polish striker Robert Lewandowski criticized the referees of the Spanish championship (La Liga) saying that the referees misinterpret many situations.

La Liga is not attractive and attacking enough. Referees are killing the league. I didn't expect Spanish league teams to be this reluctant to play football.

The forward moved to Barcelona last summer from Bayern Munich, signing a four-year deal with the Blaugrana. The release fee amounted to €45 million plus five million euros in possible bonuses.

The striker played three matches in all tournaments this season with Barça, scoring one goal and making one assist. At the end of last season, the Polish player became the champion of Spain, as well as the owner of the Super Cup of the country. Transfermarkt website estimates the transfer value of the player at €30 million.
