Napoli is interested in signing Barcelona defender Jordi Alba in the winter transfer window, reports El Nacional.
According to the source, the Napolitans want to get the Spaniard for free. The Catalan club management doesn't mind letting the player leave in order to unload the payroll.
Having said that, the potential signing of Alba wouldn't affect the future of Napoli's current left-backs - Mario Rui and Mathías Olivera.
Alba's contract with Barcelona runs until the summer of 2024. The 33-year-old defender has played 10 games and given two assists for the club this season.
