English football club Newcastle United have commented on the racist insults against their players Bruno Guimarães and Joe Willock.
The Magpies midfielders have been subjected to racial slurs on social media following their last two EPL games.
Our message is clear - football is for everyone. Discrimination has absolutely no place in football, in the street, online or in wider society and we will not tolerate it under any circumstances.
Newcastle's statement
Barcelona had earlier issued a similar statement after racist insults to Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior. In September, UEFA's disciplinary committee fined the Ukrainian Football Association for fan behavior at the 2024 European Championship qualifying matches.
