Lukasz Wachowski, secretary general of the Polish Football Association, commented on the incident after the match of the second round of the UEFA Conference League between Legia and AZ Alkmaar.

After the meeting, Dutch police detained two players of the Warsaw club, namely Serbian defender Radovan Pankov and Portuguese midfielder Josue Pesqueira.

Wachowski wrote the following message on social media:

I have contacted the secretary of the Royal Netherlands Football Association and UEFA representatives for clarification on the situation following the incident that took place after the Conference League match between AZ Alkmaar and Legia.

Apart from Legia players, the club's president Dariusz Mioduski is also injured after the attack.

The match of the second round of the UEFA Conference League between AZ Alkmaar and Legia ended with a minimal victory for the hosts thanks to a goal by Vangelis Pavlidis.
