Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois believes Manchester City forward Erling Haaland deserves The Best award from FIFA more than Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi.
Courtois said that the Norwegian has not only collected prestigious trophies but also scored a lot of goals in 2023.
FIFA press service quotes the goalkeeper as saying:
I think Haaland deserves the award most because he’s won the Champions League, the English Premier League, the FA Cup, and scored a huge amount of goals. So, he deserves it for me, though the other two have scored a lot of goals as well. We’ll just have to see.

Recall, Haaland, Mbappe and Messi are the main favorites for The Best award, which is given to the best footballer of the year. The award ceremony will be held in London on January 15. Last year Messi received the award.
Earlier it became known that Real Madrid want to sign Haaland and Mbappe. Both players are considered the most expensive footballers in the world according to the popular website Transfermarkt.
