The press service of Hockey Canada published an official statement of the organization after the accusations of five ex-players of the youth national team of the country in rape after the youth world championship-2018.

Recall, five Canadian athletes Michael McLeod, Dillon Dube, Cal Foote, Alex Formenton and Carter Hart face up to 25 years in prison. The hockey players are accused of sexually assaulting a 20-year-old girl, who had previously been served alcohol while celebrating their victory at the 2018 IIHF World Junior Championship.

Pending the completion of the appeal process, all players are ineligible to play, coach, officiate or volunteer with Hockey Canada-sanctioned programs.
