UFC executive director Dana White responded to a question about the return of former two-division champion Conor McGregor.
At the press conference following UFC 298, White said:
Conor McGregor doesn’t need money. I don’t know if he fights again. Conor McGregor has a lot of money. Any time we get Conor, we’ll be thrilled when he comes and fights. He just filmed a movie and he’s got obligations with that. He does wanna fight this year but we’ll see what happens.

McGregor, 35, hasn't fought since July 2021, when he lost to Dustin Poirier by first-round technical knockout at UFC 264.
Conor made his professional ring debut in March 2008 at Cage of Truth 2, defeating Gary Morris by technical knockout in the second round. He has 22 wins and six losses on his record.
