In his last fight, which took place in October 2022 at UFC 280, Oliveira lost to Islam Makhachev by submission (arm triangle choke) in the second round. Last May, Charles faced Justin Gaethje at UFC 274. That confrontation ended with Oliveira winning by choke in the first round. He has 33 wins and nine losses under his belt.
