Former UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira has revealed who he considers the promotion's best fighter of the year.
The fighter of the year? Alex Pereira. This guy managed to beat a great and talented champion and won the middleweight belt.

Pereira last stepped into the Octagon against New Zealander Israel Adesanya at UFC 281. In that confrontation, Alex won by technical knockout in the fifth round. Thus, he became the UFC middleweight champion.
In March of this year, Pereira had a fight against his compatriot Bruno Silva at the UFC Fight Night 203 tournament. That fight ended in favor of Alex by unanimous decision of the judges. He has seven wins and one loss in mixed martial arts under his belt.
