Diego Lima, coach of Charles Oliveira, has revealed that his charge is ready to move up a weight class for a fight against Irishman Conor McGregor.
MMA Fighting quotes Lima as saying:
It would be great to fight McGregor. McGregor has made history. Professionally speaking, [fighting him] would be incredible. If we had the opportunity to fight McGregor at welterweight after this fight, we would fight McGregor.
On 14 April at UFC 300, Oliveira will fight Arman Tsarukyan for the lightweight title.
Oliveira, 34, had his last fight in June 2023 at UFC 289, defeating Beneil Dariush by technical knockout in the first round. He has 34 wins and nine losses under his belt.
