UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones has responded to a recent statement made by Asian ONE Championship league head Chatri Sityodtong.
Sityodtong previously stated that ONE has the best athletes in the world in their respective disciplines, including MMA, while the UFC has too many bad and average punchers with sloppy jiu-jitsu. Also, ONE puts on the most entertaining shows in the world.
Jon Jones wrote the following message on his social media:
Bro this doesn’t make anybody want to watch your show anymore. You just sound like a hater. Winners focus on winning, losers focus on winners. Stay in your lane and do the best You can. Without the UFC there would be no ONE.
As a reminder, Jones will make his title defense against Stipe Miocic on November 11 at UFC 295.
Jones last fought against Ciryl Gane in March of this year at UFC 285. In this confrontation, Jones won by first-round choke hold and won the heavyweight championship belt. He has 27 wins and one loss on his record.
Miocic last fought against Francis Ngannou in March 2021 at UFC 260. That fight, which was stopped in the second round, ended in a knockout loss for Stipe. He has 20 wins and four losses on his record.
