The Las Vegas Raiders played their first game since the departure of Jon Gruden and beat visiting Denver 34-24. Will the Raiders consolidate their success in their home game against Philadelphia? We’ll select a few betting options at once.

.

Las Vegas won in Denver on emotion

The Raiders’ matches in Weeks 4 and 5 left a dismal impression. Vegas were defeated in a crucial encounter with the Chargers 14-28 and then lost hopelessly on their home field to the Chicago Bears 9-20. The reason for such poor play became known almost immediately after the game against Chicago. Head coach Jon Gruden was accused of racist remarks and resigned. With him, the tension went away.

In the first game after Gruden’s departure, Vegas flew across the Empower Field at Mile High in Denver and deservedly took a 34-24 win over the local Broncos. Thirty-four points in a game against one of the best defences of the season is a great result: as many as 341 yards passing and two touchdowns by quarterback Derek Carr. Henry Ruggs III and Kenyan Drake had touchdowns on receptions. Drake also scored a touchdown on a carry, as did running back Josh Jacobs.

At the end of a fine, emotional win in Denver, the Raiders were 4-2. Now led by Gruden’s assistant Rich Bisaccia, the team shares first place in the AFC West division with the Los Angeles Chargers. The same Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs are one win behind the leaders.

Philadelphia fought off Tom Brady with dignity

The overhauled Eagles are virtually unbeaten in the new season, with two wins in 6 weeks over weak Atlanta and troubled Carolina. The first third of the season wasn’t exactly a bust either, though. Not only has Nick Sirianni’s team not been without wins, but in the majority of games, they have lost. They did not look like whipping boys.

Like, for instance, in last week’s game against the defending champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Trailing 7-28 at the end of the third quarter, the Eagles held their ground and put up stiff resistance. Phila didn’t allow anything else until the end of the game but managed two touchdowns. Both scored by quarterback Jalen Hurts. The final score is 22-28—a loss, but not a hopeless one. What’s more, the Eagles proved to be a team capable of changing as the game progressed. The first half’s offensive lapse was more than compensated for in the second, thanks to the adjustments made by the coaching staff.

Expert Betting Tips

Las Vegas have not been stable over the past few seasons, and it is unclear why it should suddenly become so now. The emotional win in Denver can hardly be considered indicative. Philadelphia are looking interesting at the start of the season and are progressing with each week. The Eagles should not be underestimated in the upcoming game. If even Tampa had such a difficult time against the Phils, then Vegas can certainly have problems.

We predict that Philadelphia will impose serious resistance to the next opponent.
