After winning the previous game against Boston (6-1), Toronto, with a 7-5 balance, moved into first place, which they share with the New York Yankees. With the Yankees, by the way, the Blue Jays have already drawn their first series with the Yankees. At Yankee Stadium, Toronto won 2 out of 4 games - 3-0, 0-4, 6-4, 0-3.

Kevin Gausman, who moved to Canada before the start of the season from San Francisco, will pitch for the Blue Jays in the final game in Boston. In two starts, the 31-year-old pitcher has allowed five runs in 10.2 innings against Texas (4-3) and the New York Yankees (0-3).

Boston's plans are unlikely to include losing their second straight division series. But Toronto certainly don't care about that. The Blue Jays are off to a very good start to the championship. And from the looks of things, Toronto will only get better from here on out. And with the experienced Kevin Gausman on the pitcher's mound, they can take the series in Boston.
