Chicago Cubs vs Atlanta Braves Prediction: Atlanta win in a high scoring game

The Braves were just behind the conference leaders at the start of the championship. Before the series at Wrigley Field, they had won 14 straight. That's an impressive result! However, it should be taken into account that during that stretch, Atlanta had to deal exclusively with the season's underdogs - Colorado, Arizona, Oakland, Pittsburgh, and Washington.

Thanks to the winning streak, Atlanta got only 4.5 wins closer to their division leader, the New York Mets. The Braves are 37-27. The Mets are 42-23. Atlanta has already moved up to fourth in the NL standings.

Pitching for the Braves in the upcoming game will be legendary veteran Charlie Morton, 4-3, and a 5.67 ERA in 12 starts this season.

Atlanta's level of play has been insane of late. So it's unlikely that the Braves will be able to put up much resistance at Wrigley Field. The Cubs have been poor and lost ten games in a row. The prediction is for Atlanta to win in a high-scoring game.
