Dallas currently sits in fifth place in the Western Conference standings at 24-22.

While the Mavericks are in a slump, the Heat, by contrast, has recently shown why they've been rightly ranked among the conference's most potent teams for years. Despite the roster instability, the team has picked up some form and started to win consistently. Miami took out New Orleans (124:98) on the road in their last game and won four of their previous five games, including two straight wins over Milwaukee (108:102 and 111:95). Miami climbed to seventh place in the Eastern Conference standings with a 25-21 balance and are tied with New York for the top-6.

Dallas has been experimenting with the roster lately, which has caused them to lose their grip on defense and have lost three straight games. In the game against Miami, it will be tough for the Mavs to break this streak. The team, on the other hand, has improved from game to play. They've already made the Eastern Conference playoffs, and don't expect to stop there. Miami looks like one of the strongest teams in the league right now and should be favored to face Dallas in the upcoming game.
