Memphis vs Philadelphia Prediction: the 76ers Can't Put Up a FIght

Memphis has lost only once to Philadelphia in the previous two championships. Will Taylor Jenkins' team defeat the 76ers again?

Before their matchup with Philadelphia, the Grizzlies have played two straight away games. First, Taylor Jenkins' team beat the New York Knicks 127-123 and then lost 101-109 to Minnesota. Memphis is 12-9 and fourth in the Western Conference standings. The start of the new league season confirms that the Grizzlies remain among the top favorites in the West. 

The 76ers failed their last game, falling to Cleveland 85-113 on the road. That wasn't very reassuring, even though Doc Rivers' team had won three straight - over Orlando (twice) and Atlanta. All told, Philadelphia is 12-10 and occupies fifth place in the Eastern Conference. 

Philadelphia has had to do without James Harden and Tyrese Maxey, which decreases the offensive potential of Doc Rivers' wards. Despite having one of the best defenses in the league, they can still put up a good fight against Memphis. That may be needed to win, however. The Grizzlies are off to a great start and have been particularly good at home, winning seven of their nine games. Overall, we're not expecting a high-scoring performance leaning toward another Memphis home victory.
