New York vs Philadelphia Prediction: Will the Knicks to Stop the 76ers

The traditional Christmas series starts at Madison Square Garden, where New York will take on Philadelphia. Will the Knicks stop the 76ers, who have now won seven straight?

After a perfect eight wins, the Knicks have failed two straight. First, Tom Thibodeau's team came up short against Toronto (106-131) in a back-to-back blowout and then lost in a very close game to Chicago (117-118). The game was decided against New York in the very end, despite the phenomenal play of RJ Barrett, who earned 44 points. The Knicks are 18-15 overall, sitting sixth in the Eastern Conference standings.

The Sixers have been good since the return of James Harden. Doc Rivers' team is coming into the game against the Knicks with a streak of seven wins in a row. Though, Philadelphia won all of those games at home. The 76ers took turns beating Los Angeles Lakers, Charlotte, Sacramento, Golden State, Toronto, Detroit, and Los Angeles Clippers. The Phils are 19-12 on the fifth line in the Eastern standings.

The Knicks have failed two games in a row, but to Toronto in the back-to-back and Chicago by just one point. Before that, Tom Thibodeau's team had a long winning streak at home and away while conceding a few. Philadelphia's winning streak extends. We should remember, however, that the 76ers won all of their home games during this stretch. Philadelphia played much worse on the road, and this trend might continue at the end of the season.
