Yader Cardoza is a professional boxer from Nicaragua who competed for the WBC light flyweight belt in 2013. Cardoza defeated Jose Aguilar by unanimous decision (UD) on November 24, 2012, to claim the vacant WBC Latino light flyweight championship. Cardoza fought WBC world champion Adrián Hernández on May 11, 2013, after regaining the championship by beating Eliecer Quezada. Despite Cardoza's determined performance, in which he managed to swell Hernández's eye, Hernández defeated Cardoza by UD to retain his championship.
