Murodjon Akhmadaliev, a former IBF and WBA Super Bantamweight Champion, will face Mexico's unbeaten Kevin Gonzalez on December 17th. Former world champion Adalberto Covarrubias is no pushover when it comes to boxing. The 25-year-old Gonzalez has fought in 145 rounds since making his debut in 2016, and his record is nearly perfect: 26-1 with 13 knockouts. The sole blemish on his record is a 2018 six-round majority tie with Covarrubias. Half of Gonzalez's punches land on their targets. Akhmadaliev won his belts against Danny Roman in 2020 and Ryosuke Iwasa in 2021. He lost his title to Marlon Tapales in April. Gonzalez last fought in March, beating Jose Sanmartin by a 10-round unanimous decision. The 12-round WBA Super Bantamweight eliminator will be live on DAZN.

Expert Betting Tips

Tapales' controversial victory over Akhmadaliev, a talented boxer with professional experience, has sparked debate. But he'll likely get back on track in a tough battle against Gonzalez, who can't afford to lose twice in a row if he wants a shot at the world title again. Many anticipate a thrilling and difficult battle.
