Somerset County vs. Essex County: Somerset Need to End their Losing Form

In the upcoming game of Division 1 fixtures, Somerset County would be taking on Essex County. Somerset has lost to Hampshire recently due to the heroics of Mohammad Abbas with the moving red ball. On the other hand, Essex County enjoyed batting against Kent and ended the match as Draw. Essex has few reliable names in their batting lineup; those have played cricket at all levels and can win the game single-handedly. 

Somerset is a quality batting lineup, and in their first game, only James Hildreth was able to score a decent 87 runs in innings. Apart from him, only Roelof van der Merwe was able to score a decent 28 runs. Somerset has the likes of Peter Siddle and Marchant de Lange in their robust, fast bowling attack; however, they must be used effectively by the skipper on the ground.

With three centuries in the first innings, Essex was certainly in the game for winning. In their bowling department, Matt Critchley plays a vital role, as Essex does not have a quality strike bowler.
