The Canterbury Kings concluded their participation in the competition with a match against Central Districts in New Plymouth. In the ninth match of the Super Smash, Canterbury chose to bat first and scored 185 runs from 20 overs, losing four wickets in the process. Due to rain, the target was revised to 176 runs from 19 overs. However, Central Districts could only manage to score 142 runs for the loss of eight wickets in these 19 overs. Ultimately, Canterbury Kings won the match by a margin of 33 runs.

During the Kings' innings, their captain, Cole McConchie, displayed excellent form. He scored 79 runs from just 47 balls, including eight sixes and four fours. Alongside Michael Rippon in the lower middle order, the two players dismantled the Central District's bowling attack. Rippon contributed 58 runs from 33 balls. The bowlers from Central Districts worked together to dismantle the Central Districts batting line-up, with three bowlers taking two wickets each.
