Joe Cullen vs. Gerwyn Price: Will Gerwyn Price Be Able to Secure a Win This Time?

Another night of Darts Premier League will take place on March 31st, 2022. Joe Cullen will compete against Gerwyn Price in one of the matches for this event. The event will take place in the Utilita Arena in Birmingham, and it will undoubtedly be as exciting as previous League games.

Cullen won his first PDC victory at the seventh Players Championship in April. He led the final 4–1 before Daryl Gurney leveled the score at 5–5. Cullen won on double four after Gurney missed one match dart. Cullen noted afterward that he had previously depended on his inherent skill, but he had also worked extremely hard on his game in the last year.

Cullen, who entered the 2022 PDC World Darts Championship ranked 13th in the world, overcame Jim Williams 3–2 in the second round before falling 3–4 to newcomer Martijn Kleermaker in the third. Cullen earned his first televised PDC championship on January 30th, 2022, as he won the 2022 Masters. En route to the final, Cullen defeated Daryl Gurney, Gary Anderson 10–1 with an average of 106.30, Michael van Gerwen, and José de Sousa. Despite missing 10 match darts, he beat Dave Chisnall 11–9 to win his first PDC televised title.

Price defeated Anderson 7–3 to win his first PDC World Championship and take over as world number one from Michael van Gerwen. He was also the first Welshman to win the PDC world championship, despite the fact that Leighton Rees, Richie Burnett, Mark Webster, and Wayne Warren had already won the BDO version.

Price began the defense of his world title against Ritchie Edhouse in the 2022 World Championship, winning 3–1. Price struck a Nine-dart finish against Michael Smith in the quarter-finals, but lost the match 5–4.

Price would go on to hit two more nine-dart legs in the 2022 Premier League in Belfast. First, he faced Michael van Gerwen in the semi-finals, and then he faced James Wade in the final.

While the thirst for winning the title is equal in both players, the odds suggest that Gerwyn Price will be able to secure a straight win against Joe Cullen. However, this might not be an easy win as Joe is also well-prepared for the match.
