Ashton was accepted for the 2019 PDC Qualifying School. She almost missed out on a tour card by one point.
After losing to reigning champion Mikuru Suzuki in the final of the 2020 BDO World Darts Championship, Ashton became the first woman to obtain a PDC Tour card through Q School, finishing in twelfth position on the UK Q School Order of Merit.
She became the first female to win a match in the UK Open since 2005 on March 5, 2021, defeating Aaron Beeney 6–2 in Round 2 of the 2021 UK Open, and she also set a new world record for the highest average of 100.3, on TV, by a female player in her victory against Beeney.

Abern lost 265–169, with just one of his nine darts hitting triple 20 and three others landing in either five or one bed, compared to Hamilton's four treble 20s from six darts.
Tabern was eliminated in the second round of the 2009 PDC World Championship by Co Stompé. The following year, he lost again in the second round, this time 3–4 to Mark Dudbridge, who had missed six darts to win. Tabern missed six match darts against Mark Walsh in the second round of the 2011 event.
Tabern regained his tour card for 2018–2019 on the second day of 2018 Q School in Wigan after defeating Steven Kirkby 5–1 in the final.
