Oscars 2024 Prediction: It's glory and Oscar time of the year

After the Golden Globes, the Critics' Choice Awards, and the Emmys, it is finally the turn of the Oscars, which always raises the most dust. The Oscars will be awarded at the beginning of March in Los Angeles. What is different compared to last year is the change in the rules that allowed as many as 10 works to be nominated in the best film category. Although a lot of things turned out as many predicted, there was no shortage of surprises this year either, so Margot Robbie was not nominated for her role in the movie Barbie, and Greta Gerwig was not nominated for best director either. In addition, Leonardo Di Caprio was not nominated for Best Actor, and Bradley Cooper was not nominated for Best Director. The film Past Lives also did not do as well as expected, and The Zone of Interest is surprising with numerous nominations.

For almost six decades, Atelier Tirelli in Rome has woven itself into the fabric of Italian and international film history, earning the nickname "the tailor shop for the Oscars" for its contribution to the creation of film costumes. The Oscar nominations seem to have brought an end to the "Barbenheimer" saga. While Barbie has an impressive eight nominations, the Oppenheimer biopic of the year has 13, making it the most nominated film of the year. “Poor Things” followed with 11 nominations, “Killers of the Flower Moon” with 10, and “Maestro” with 7, “The Holdovers”, “The Zone of Interest”, and “Anatomy of a Fall” earned five individual nominations. The historical biography “Napoleon” earned three nominations, and Nyad and Past Lives two each. Martin Scorsese became the most nominated living director with his nomination for Killers of the Flower Moon, and Greta Gerwig did not make the list of nominated directors for Barbie. Emma Stone became the second woman in history to be nominated in the Best Actress category and listed in the Best Picture nomination credits for the same project. Margot Robbie, although she was not nominated for the lead actress in the movie “Barbie”, was nominated for the producer in the category of the best film. Christopher Nolan received his second consecutive Best Director nomination after being nominated for the first time in 2018 with “Dunkirk”.
