The second game day of South American qualifiers for The International 10 will take place on Friday 25 June. The day will conclude with games of the top semifinals. Who will be one step away from the finals?

The International 10 South America Qualifier is the South American open qualifier for Dota2’s biggest tournament of the year. The 12 teams from the region that didn’t make it directly to the International will compete for one ticket to the main tournament. South America will determine the winner from June 23-26, 2021.

.

Infinity: It will be hard to surprise two days in a row

It was hard to imagine how Infinity, the 8th ranked team in the second DPC league, could beat the champion in such an important tournament. The Peruvian team plays a lot online but has not been very successful in the South American circuit, but yesterday they pulled off the biggest upset of these qualifiers with a 2-1 win over NoPing e-sports.

The boys started 2021 in the second division of the DPC league, which they won. Once in the elite, the team finished in last place, winning only one BO3 meeting, so the experts gave very little chance with NoPing e-sports, but South America on the first day of qualification showed that it is almost impossible to predict the outcome of the games.

It will be difficult to beat the favourites for the second time in a row, especially if the opponent has already seen how their predecessors were beaten, so I think the march of Infinity on the upper bracket will stop today.

.

Team Unknown: They deserve to advance to the next stage

The dark horse of South American qualification should be the Peruvian Team Unknown. The boys have been performing extremely well lately. They have already won two tournaments in June, Movistar Liga Pro Gaming Season 9 and INVie where they beat strong teams from the region, Infamous (3-2) and SG e-sports (2-1) respectively in the finals.

The team’s game was transformed by the arrival of the new Peruvian player Pakazs, who joined the team from Infamous, not the strongest team in the region. The guy intends to show that his “relegation” is just a new challenge, and he can pull the team to the leaders of South America with a solo finish. The team’s play is far from perfect, but the two tournaments they won in June hinted at much.

In DPC leagues the guys played not very well, 5th place in the first and only 7th in the second, which brought them few DPC points and forced them not even to dream about a direct entry to the main tournament of the year. The first qualification game was a close battle with the Hokori squad (2-1), who could have upset the hidden favourite for qualification, but still failed to deal with them.

Expert Betting Tips

Not a single meeting on the first day of qualifying in South America ended 2-0 in favour of any team. We don’t think all the remaining matches will be played in the same style now. In this pairing, we see Team Unknown -1.5 handicap maps at odds of 2.38.

We also suggest betting on Total Over 49.5 frags on the first map for 1.78.

On the second map, Team Unknown’s frags handicap will be -8.5 at odds of 1.87.
