PSG.LGD: The favorites continue their dominance

The champion continues to be unbeaten in any DPC tournament, be it league or regional finals. The spring championship has already earned the vice world champions two wins, with bouts against Vici Gaming (2-1) and EHOME (2-0). As one of the elite outsiders, can Team MagMa put up a fight? If it were any side tournament, maybe, but for DPC - my answer is immediately no. Oh, and we need to avenge the youngsters for February’s defeat at the OGA Dota PIT.

Team PSG.LGD is the outright champion of the first part of the DPC cycle for the 2021/22 season. The TI10 vice-champions never lost to a regional opponent in January and in February, they confirmed their status as the strongest team in the country at the regional finals, which Valve organized to replace the cancelled majors. The team’s DPC points are at their highest level at the moment, which can’t help but make them happy.

As for the non-DPC cycle tournaments, PSG.LGD is blatantly fooling around at them. Weak performances at the Intel World Open Beijing (3rd place) and OGA Dota PIT Season 6: China (5th-6th place) should not scare before the start of the Spring Tour, xiao8 and Co will clearly be the main favourites this time too.

The PSG.LGD team won the first DPC league of 2022 without defeat. Yes, some maps were lost, but overall, only Aster and RNG caused trouble. EHOME also picked up a map from xiao8’s wards, but it looked more like an inaccuracy than a legitimate fact. The composition of this team continues to be unchanged. All the same stars on the server, plus behind the backs and coach xiao8, who was acquitted in the sensational 322 scandal. No matter how PSG.LGD played, they should have been in the majors and only the cancellation of the event itself prevented them from being there.

Team MagMa: Can’t they win for the second time in a row?

So far, this DPC league in the elite division has been difficult for this young squad. You can tell right away that this is no ordinary tournament, but a status tournament, where any team plays against you like it’s the last time. A month ago, Team MagMa defeated PSG.LGD at the OGA Dota PIT, but I have a feeling that today they will be shown who’s boss in China...

Team Magma has re-entered the elite of China, after almost a year out of the top teams in the China region. The youngster has already shown glamour in the first DPC of season 2021/22 in the second division, becoming the second team to make it back to the elite.

Before the start of the second DPC league, China’s strongest teams tried their luck in OGA Dota PIT Season 6. Some took the games extremely seriously, while others, like PSG.LGD, played clearly after the fact. But it is important to understand that the team was divided into “before” the new patch and “after”. Importantly, Team MagMa sensationally became the vice-champion of this tournament. Will there be something prepared especially for the DPC? We’ll find out in this match.
