Vici Gaming: Lots of mistakes

The VG team showed an extremely bad match at the start against Xtreme Gaming (0-2). The picks are greedy, and the second map was drained after a few silly mistakes while not bad domination. As practice shows, they are far from their ideal form. It's hard to imagine how the team will break into the top 4 this summer.

Vici Gaming was 5th in the winter and spring tours, which kept them out of the regional finals, which means they don't have enough DPC points to qualify for TI11, and if they don't go to Singapore, they will be a real failure and they will be dismissed very fast.

It is impossible to call 2021 a failure for Vici Gaming: their participation in TI10 and 5-6th place at the end of it, two Chinese DPC league bronzes, and two i-League 2021 silver medals, and well VG showed themselves at the Kyiv major, where they took fourth place. To sum it all up, it's hard to imagine the reason for the dramatic change in the roster. Yes, the previous squad didn't become the champions in 2021, and most likely, that's what influenced the bosses to change the squad. The new squad of Vici Gaming gathered around poyoyo, who was the only one left from the previous squad. The team solved the main task - not to drop out of the elite - in the winter and spring tours, but what will happen at the end of the summer? So far, the prospects are extremely vague.

In March, Yang was signed to the team for the third position. He is known for his performance for Elephant and just the early Vici Gaming. He clearly did not deteriorate the game, but since the last official VG game has been almost two months, what Vici Gaming prepared for this summer tour will show just the starting matches.

Team Aster: The leader is not badly prepared for the summer tour

Team Aster started this summer tour with a confident victory over their youth team Aster.Aries (2-0), and against Vici Gaming, the favorite, must have a special attitude for the offensive defeat this spring. It isn't easy to assess the Chinese teams because, so far, they do not have much motivation. The giants will already go to TI11 (if they are released from the country), and there are not so many prospects for the major. Do I believe we'll see Chinese teams at the August majors in the US? It's unlikely... Even if they're released from the country, risking the prospect of going to TI11 in Singapore, which is only two months away, for the sake of the majors... You understand. Hence the question, is it worth trying so hard in the summer tour of the regional league? DPC points are more than enough for all of them, considering that now 30 teams will go to the year's main tournament.

Team Aster had a mixed spring tour, especially against their success in January: the team won second place in the first DPC league, and in the replay, the team defeated the resistance team RNG. Then the guys reinforced the result with a championship at the Intel World Open Beijing, which was not an incredible sensation, but the result was still unexpected. After the Chinese New Year, the players began to perform relaxed. An extremely poor performance in the regional finals of the DPC leagues (3rd place out of 4), then not reaching the finals of the OGA Dota PIT Season 6: China (3rd place). All that doesn't change the main point - Team Aster remains one of the main favorites to start the third cycle of the 2021/22 season, the more so in the second regional final.

Team Aster is one of China's youngest teams, formed in late 2018, and already the top team in its region. Last season was a mixed bag for the guys; if we evaluate their results within the Chinese region, they are very cool: vice-champions of the first DPC league, champions of the second DPC league, and champions of two seasons of i-League 2021. Not even PSG.LGD can boast such results in China, but on the international scene, Aster played just awful: only 9-12 places at the two majors in Singapore and Kyiv, an unsatisfactory result at TI10 as well - 13-16 place. You can look for excuses, they didn't play in a full squad in Singapore, and at TI10, the whole team suffered from coronavirus, but the fact is that nobody makes concessions to the top Chinese team.

Something had to be done, and the organization's bosses made two substitutions in the squad: Ori, who moved from Vici Gaming, will play in position two, and Siamese.C, who spent the last season in the Aster.Aries youth team arrived in position five.
