Formula 1 Brazilian Grand Prix Prediction: The last sprint of the season at the place of Mercedes' last victory

Nevertheless, Mercedes, last year's winner of the race in Brazil, rightfully gives them hope for a successful weekend on the Interlagos circuit. Last week Max Verstappen managed to break another record in this phenomenal season for him and his team. At the Mexico City Grand Prix, he achieved his 16th victory this year, and considering his current form and the fact that there are still three races left until the end of the championship, it is certain that he will further strengthen that record. If he manages to win all three remaining races, which would not be too great a miracle if it happens, the Dutchman will have 19 wins in 22 appearances this season, which is 86.4 percent of the races won. The current record holder in this respect is Alberto Ascari, who won six out of eight races in 1952, or 75 percent.

When in the seventies of the last century Emerson Fittipaldi started on the path of success, the Brazilians wanted their own Formula 1 race. This happened in 1973, and in the following years Brazilian drivers had many successes on their own soil - Fittipaldi, Carlos Pace and Carlos Reutemann managed to triumph on this racetrack. Interlagos was the scene of Carlos Pace's first and only race, and after he died in a plane crash, the track was renamed in his honor. After Senna's death, Brazil did not have a world champion, but the passion among Brazilian fans keeps Formula 1 alive here. The track itself is quite short and requires a real compromise regarding the settings of the car because the central part is completely different compared to the first and third which contain one of the longest parts that are passed at full throttle. When we add to that that the track is located at 700m above sea level, it is clear that the engines are under heavy load. You need enough grip for slow turns in the central sector, but still enough maximum speed so that you don't become easy prey on the long straight.

Red Bull's Max Verstappen won the first starting position for Sunday's main race, Ferrari's Charles Leclerc was second, and Aston Martin's Lance Stroll was third! Triple world champion Max Verstappen also won the F1 sprint at the Brazilian Grand Prix! The Dutchman overtook Lando Norris (+4.287s) at the start of the race and raced to victory in a 24-lap sprint.

Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton says he will do his best in today's Brazilian Grand Prix, but it will not help him get the much-desired victory. Mercedes came to Brazil with great momentum from the previous two races where their driver Lewis Hamilton finished second and was the biggest threat to Red Bull and three-time champion Max Verstappen. The Silver Arrows brought an upgraded floor to the United States Grand Prix, which proved to be a hit as their race pace improved further, so they could hardly wait for the start of the weekend in Brazil. Hamilton will start from 5th position, and with the performances he showed he has a big chance of getting on the podium.
