Annecy vs Toulouse Prediction: the Outcome is Evident

Annecy is the only Ligue 2 club in the semifinals of the Coupe de France. Moreover, even in the second-strongest division, outsiders fight for survival. Such a weak performance made the team slip to 15th place, while the relegation zone starts from the 17th position. But Annecy sensationally reached the semifinals in the Cup, beating Marseille 3:2 on penalties in the last round.

Toulouse is a solid average club. In the first six rounds of the Ligue 1, they had only one victory over Troyes - 3:0, but gradually the results improved. But then they suffered another setback in February. In the last six meetings, they beat only Angers, 2:0. The remaining five matches ended in defeats (3:12). Now Toulouse takes 13th place in the standings, but the gap from the relegation zone is still large.

Annecy and Toulouse are at the bottom of the standings. The difference is that the Reds and Whites are 15th in Ligue 2, while the Purples sit 13th in Ligue 1. Of course, the visitors outclass the hosts. In the last round of the tournament, Laurent Guyot's charges created a sensation, beating Marseille. Still, the Blues did not prepare properly against the second-division club in that battle. But now the Purple will learn a lesson from others' mistakes.

Lately, Annecy rarely won and conceded a lot of goals. In the previous six meetings, they missed 17 (2.83 average per game). In addition, most of the matches they played in Ligue 2, and now have to fight with the opponent of a different level.
