Empoli vs SPAL Prediction: The Blues will start the season with a win

Last season, under Aurelio Andreazzolli, the Blues achieved their goal for the season, retaining their place in Serie A. However, Empoli management, headed by president Fabrizio Corsi, was unhappy with their 14th place. Andreazzolli was replaced by Paolo Zanetti, the promising young coach.

Among the significant transfers associated with Empoli during the off-season are the sale of defender Mattia Viti to Nice and holding midfielder Samuele Ricci to Torino. They also acquired new goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario from Cagliari and midfielder Razvan Marin from Cagliari.

The Ferrara side, who recently played in Serie A, had a very poor performance in Serie B last season, finishing just 15th and only seven points behind in the relegation zone.

SPAL enters the new season with a new head coach, Roberto Venturato, an Italian of Australian origin whose last job was at Cittadella.

Empoli and SPAL are teams from different categories. Empoli performed well in Serie A last season, made some excellent transfers in the off-season, and will undoubtedly be looking to start the new season with a win, especially against a Serie B underdog.
