Watford vs Millwall Prediction: Watford are pushing for playoff spot

Watford will welcome Millwall at Vicarage Road in Game Week 14 of the English Championship. Watford are looking to push for the playoff places hoping for the third consecutive win on trot against Millwall. Who will come out on top after 90 minutes?

When Watford made the decision to offer Valerien Ismael a new contract despite their poor run of form, many people, especially their supporters, were surprised. However, this decision seems to have had a positive impact as the Hornets have managed to secure two wins and one draw in their last three games. Although their performances may not have been exceptional, they were able to secure a comeback draw against Cardiff and 1-0 victories against Sheffield Wednesday and Swansea City. This recent success suggests that Watford may have built a solid foundation for the rest of the season. Nevertheless, as is customary at Vicarage Road, Ismael will focus on short-term goals as the team aims to climb up the table. 

Ken Sema is set to be included in the Watford starting lineup after scoring the winning goal as a substitute in their previous match against Swansea. Yaser Asprilla also provided the assist, giving the manager, Ismael, a decision to make regarding the inclusion of Tom Ince and Matheus Martins in the team. Ryan Porteous will be aiming to return to the central defense after serving a one-match suspension for accumulating five yellow cards, although his immediate return is not guaranteed.

Millwall, on the other hand, recently parted ways with manager Gary Rowett, with Adam Barrett taking temporary charge. Even under Rowett's leadership, the team struggled to secure consecutive wins in the Championship, and since September 23, they have only managed to accumulate six points from six games.

Barrett is expected to make changes to the Millwall team, with Murray Wallace, George Saville, and George Honeyman all vying for opportunities. However, Millwall will be missing the injured players Matjia Sarkic, Shaun Hutchinson, and Kevin Nisbet.
