Aston Villa vs Tottenham Hotspur: Betting on the corners

Aston Villa will face Tottenham in round 32 of the English Championship. Can the Londoners pick up their eighth successive victory over the Lions in Birmingham?

After beating Leeds United (3:0), Aston Villa's next three English league games were disappointing. First, they lost to West Ham 1:2. Then, the club failed to score points in the home game against Arsenal London 0:1. The Birmingham side then lost away to Wolverhampton 1:2. Aston Villa has 36 points remaining. The Birmingham side is currently 11th in the EPL table.

After a 2:3 defeat at the hands of Man Utd, Tottenham avoided a misfiring defeat in their next three English league appearances. The team scored two unanswered goals against Brighton on the road, then took down West Ham 3:1 at home and Newcastle United 5:1. Spurs are among the best in the EPL in their last five matches. Thanks to their progress, Spurs climbed to fourth place in the English league table. The club has 54 points.

Tottenham has improved during an important stretch of the season and is now one favourite to finish fourth in the EPL and qualify for the Champions League. However, Antonio Conte's side will face a tough game in Birmingham, despite their positive statistics in their last seven appearances at Aston Villa. Gerrard's side has failed to pick up a single point in their previous three games, so the home side will be heavily motivated for this game. We suggest you look at the line with corner kicks. There have been a lot of corner kicks in most of the last head-to-head meetings.
