France vs Gambia Prediction: the Frenchmen to Cope with the African Team

France has been modest at the world U20 championships. They have a skillful and powerful team, but in 2013, they won their first and only title in Turkey. The Frenchmen qualified for the World Cup through Euro 2020, where they reached the semifinals. The team became the vice-champions of the African Cup, losing the final match to Senegal - 0:2. In their World Cup, Gambia did not waste time scoring to Honduras in the first minute. Four minutes later, the opponent netted a goal. In the 84th minute of the meeting, Adama Bojang notched a double and gained the victory - 2:1.

Surprisingly, Gambia is three points ahead of France in Group F standings after the opening round. Obviously, France isn't happy with such a thing. Therefore, they should cope with the Africans easily, as they have a more balanced squad. The Gambians are still gaining experience in such major tournaments, as they qualified for the World Youth Championship only once, 16 years ago. 

France vs Gambia promises to be packed with goals. In the previous eight meetings of France, there were 27 goals (3.38 on average). Six matches ended with the total over. The Gambians also started the World Cup with a 2:1 victory over Honduras.
