Flamengo vs Corinthians Paulista Prediction: Flamengo to Win the Decider at Home!

For the last evening of Copa do Brasil 2022, Club Flamengo will take on Corinthians at the iconic Maracanã stadium in Cordoba, Rio de Janeiro. Going in the game we are certain about an outcome or a result, as in the first leg, both sides shared the score line (0-0). A week back, we saw pretty much aggression, but no team was really able to convert the scoring chances into goal-scoring shots. Flamengo maintained its undefeated road record in this event with 16 shots in the first half of the first leg. The fact that Urubu has already taken part in the second-most Copa do Brasil finals (eight), counting this one, may have contributed to their ability to adjust to the match at Corinthians Arena more quickly than the local team.

Going in the home fixture, Club Flamengo will be the favorite to win after giving a reasonable amount of time to the opposition in Leg 1. After drawing the contest against Corinthians (0-0), Flamengo managed to secure a morale-boosting win against Atletico MG (1-0), in which Everton scored the only goal. Flamengo has had great success in the storied arena this season, as they haven’t let up a goal the whole competition. Their last home Copa do Brasil loss occurred in the 2021 semifinals against Athletico Paranaense (3-0).

In the last 5 games played, Corinthians have managed to stay on top of their game, winning three and drawing two. After the game against Flamengo at home, Corinthians didn’t have the Serie A fixture. Since winning the league in 2017, Corinthians have not won a national title, although they have won five straight games overall and haven’t dropped a competitive game since September.
