Eintracht vs Arminia: Will the Eagles move up to the Eurocup zone?

As usual, the next round of the German Bundesliga starts on Friday. The twentieth round of Germany's elite opener is a clash between Eintracht and Arminia. It's not a top match, but it's good enough for a fairly boring Friday.

It's no secret that the Eagles are targeting a place in the European competitions. However, Arminia will not accept this result. That is a defeat in Frankfurt. The modest club from Bielefeld did not lose in 2022, picking up two points against Freiburg and Greuther Fürth. And overall, Arminia have picked up 8 points in their last four games in the German championship, ahead of Stuttgart and climbing to 16th place. It was a nice promotion, but still, the Bielefelders remain in the danger zone, and the Swabians, although they stayed behind, are inferior to Arminia only on goal difference. In general, there was no question that the visitors were highly motivated and that Bielefelders would be very happy to take home at least one point from Deutsche Bank Park.

Last season, the match between Eintracht and Arminia in Frankfurt ended in a 1-1 draw. In January 2021, however, the Eagles crushed Arminia 5-1 in Bielefeld. Eintracht are still unbeaten in 2022. They put up a fight against Dortmund and brought one point from Augsburg. We believe it is time for Glasner's team to win in the New Year as well. Arminia are a tough opponent but still an outsider, and a 4-match unbeaten streak for teams of this level is an obvious maximum. Expect the Eagles to be super active and clinch the win.
