Guinea vs Egypt Prediction: With the quality of both teams, a point apiece is possible here

On Wednesday, the National Elephants will square off against Egypt at the Stade de Marrakech Stadium. With two games left to wrap up the group phase, both teams are the favourites to qualify for next year’s AFCON tournament.

The Pharaohs have won three and lost once since the beginning of the qualifiers. Egypt returned to winning ways following their (2-0) loss away to Ethiopia. They defeated Malawi (2-0) at home, and the result was followed by an emphatic (0-4) on the road. The Pharaohs sit at the top of the log with nine points from a possible fifteen. They have won their previous five games in all competitions and stand a better chance of winning the group. Egypt are the favourite going into the match, boasting a squad full of talent and experience; they will be looking to dominate possession and create chances in the attacking third.

Over their previous six meetings in all competitions, Egypt have won four and drawn twice. Their most recent meeting ended in a slim (1-0) victory for Egypt, who left it late in the 87th minute. Guinea are an organised side, and with the partnership of Saidou Sow and Mouctar Diakhaby at the back, we expect an even game.
