Atalanta vs Juventus Prediction: Can Bergamo extend their winning streak at home?

Atalanta has won three games in a row and is back in the running for the Champions League title. Can Bergamo extend their winning streak at home?

There was a moment when it seemed that Atalanta would no longer be in contention for the top spot this season. But they have won three straight and are now just two points behind the top four. This handicap that leaves the Bergamo side with an excellent chance of qualifying for the Champions League.

As part of their winning streak, Atalanta beat Roma 3:1 on home soil, scored the winning goal in the dying minutes against Torino (2:1), and registered a 3:2 home win against La Spezia.

The Turin side broke their unlucky streak in the league in the previous round, finally securing a win. Juventus got a 2:1 win at home to Lecce. It wasn't a convincing win, but the Bianconeri were completely superior to their opponents, with the visitors' only goal coming from the spot-kick. Juve is now third, one point behind Lazio and five points ahead of fifth-placed Atalanta.

The goal for Juventus is to remain in the top four for the remainder of the season. And so far, Max Allegri's side are coping with that task, with a fairly comfortable five-point handicap. So the Turin side does not need to win this game, given their upcoming clash with Sevilla in the Europa League. Likely, Allegri will again see a considerable turnover, as he did in his last away game against Bologna. Above all, he will try to make the attacking moves more difficult for his opponents. Atalanta was lucky in the previous match against La Spezia (3 goals, with 0.84 expected), so the Bergamas will quite possibly not take their chances in the upcoming game. We're betting on a draw here.
