Lecce vs Cremonese Prediction: Battle for survival

Another Sunday fixture of Serie A will see the match between Lecce and Cremonese. Who will be able to pick up three points?

Lecce faced Salernitana in the last match before the break for the national team games and managed to secure their first win of the season. Gabriel Strefezza scored the decisive goal in the 83rd minute to make it 2:1. It was an excellent result for the team, especially given that they had been consistently winning points before. After seven rounds, Lecce has suffered just three defeats and three draws. They sit in 15th place in the league standings with 6 points.

If Lecce picked up their first win of the season, just as Monza did when they beat Juventus in the previous round, Cremonese has yet to taste success in Serie A. After seven games, they have only 2 points on aggregate and sit bottom of the table with Sampdoria.

They had a very unlucky home game in the previous matchday, losing to Lazio with four unanswered goals.

Lecce looks the most solid of the three teams that qualified for Serie A last season. They consistently win points, mainly by a one-goal margin if they lose. The same cannot be said of Cremonese - they look like a significant contender for relegation. So Lecce, who achieved their first season's success in the previous round, has an excellent opportunity to consolidate their victory.
