Sampdoria vs Reggina Calcio Prediction: Genoa beat Filippo Inzaghi's new team to qualify for the next round

Sampa finished the previous Italian league season in 15th place in the standings. The team enters the new season under Marco Giampaolo, the old-new coach of the prior season. It seems that Sampdoria can only hope to start the season with their coach, who has been successful with Sampa in the past.

The Genoa squad is certainly not getting any stronger. Essential players from each line-up are gone - defender Maia Yoshida, midfielder Morten Thorsby and forward Federico Bonazzolli. Last season, Inzaghi headed Brescia, with whom they lost to Monza in the decisive round of the Serie A extra-time play-offs.

Filippo Inzaghi is not yet close to achieving the same success as he did in his playing career. So it is unlikely that he will be able to make Regina any stronger than they were last season.
