Osasuna vs Valencia Prediction: The guests bring one point from Pamplona

The eighth round of the Spanish football championship will begin with the match between Osasuna and Valencia. The guests are the clear favorites, although the Bats are significantly superior to their future opponents and could be a direct competitor for a place in the UEFA competitions.

The Bees played three official matches in September: they beat Valencia 2:1 on home soil, lost 1:2 away to Osasuna, and 2:3 away to Athletic. The results are poor, but thanks to a better start, Rayo is in the middle of the table with 7 points, three points more than relegation-zone side Valladolid. Rayo is 15th in the division with a 0:2 defeat at Mallorca and a 2:1 victory over Valencia.

Valencia shows a feast on home soil, beating Celta and Getafe in their last two games, but away the Oranges have a defeat against Rayo and a 2:2 draw with Espanyol in their previous two games. Before the start of the eighth round, Valencia has 10 points and 9th place. However, if they win on the road, they will catch up with Osasuna on points, surpass their opponents on goal difference and head-to-head encounters and move up into the UEFA competitions, so Valencia is very well motivated the upcoming game.

Historically, Osasuna has the home advantage over Valencia, but not as much as the Pamplona fans would like. Valencia is not doing well in away games, but the Oranges are superior to their opponents in terms of squad and capabilities. Moreover, the Levantines mustn't lose to Osasuna, at the very least, to keep pace with the leading four. We wouldn't be surprised if the upcoming game ends in a draw.
