Roma vs Bayer Prediction: Very Dangerous Opponent

Roma remains unbeaten on the international stage. They do suffer some failures, but it does not affect their perspectives. A year earlier, the Romans were the first to win the Conference League, and now they reached the UEL semifinals. Obviously, the European Cup is a priority for Roma as they have failed to win in four games in Serie A, falling to seventh place in the standings.

For Bayer, the debut of this season was a failure. New coach Xabi Alonso quickly figured out their problems, bringing his charges to the next level. Going on in the Champions League was impossible, but they still have the UEL. They beat Belgium's Union 1:1 and 4:1 in the quarterfinals, reaching the semifinals. In the Bundesliga, the Reds and Blacks have also improved, rising to sixth place in the standings, although in the last round, they suffered an upset home defeat to Koln, 1:2.

Bayer has made tremendous progress, but they still look unstable. So far in the UEL playoffs, they have not had any top opponents. Now they are facing a challenge - a battle with Roma. Experienced Jose Mourinho has not failed a single encounter in the European playoffs in the last two years. The Italian team is well aware of the value of a home game, so they won all their previous cup encounters at the Olimpico. 

The upcoming confrontation will not be packed with goals. In the UEL playoffs, Roma has already played six matches, five ended with a TU. The only TO one that happened in the return game against Feyenoord. Now, the semifinal battle begins with zeros on the scoreboard, so there will be no hurry for the Romans. It's unlikely that Bayer will open up either, realizing the power of the opponent's attack.
