Zalgiris vs Ludogorets Prediction: The home team will be able to put up a fight

Zalgiris has come a long way through Champions League qualification. They beat the Balkans (2:1 on aggregate) and even the formidable Malmo (3:0 on aggregate). However, they lost to Bodo-Glimt (0:5 in the first leg and 1:1 in the return leg). Now Zalgiris is in the Europa League qualifiers, and in their first meeting, they lost away to Ludogorets (0:1).

Ludogorets repeated the same scenario as their opponents. In the Champions League qualifiers, the Bulgarian side first beat Sutjeska (3:0 on aggregate) and then Shamrock Rovers (4:2 on aggregate). However, Ludogorets lost in the semi-finals at Dinamo Zagreb (2:4 on aggregate). They beat Zalgiris with a score of 1:0 at home in their first Europa League qualifier, so they are one step away from the group stage.

We wouldn't be too quick to write off Zalgiris. The Lithuanian club is showing well in front of their stands. They beat Balkans and Malmo in the Champions League qualifier there and also managed not to lose to a powerful Bodo-Glimt. Ludogorets don't look bright on the road, losing to Shamrock Rovers and Dinamo Zagreb after narrowly defeating Sutjeska. Now the hosts will only be satisfied with a win, and we think they will be able to put the game into extra time at least. Prediction: Zalgiris won't lose.
