Lukas Klecker vs. Soheil Vahedi: Will Lukas Be Able to Make it Even with Vahedi?

Lukas Klecker will be head to head against Soheil Vahedi in the first round of the WDF World Championship 2022, taking place on 4th April 2022, at the English Institute of Sports (Sheffield).

Kleckers initially garnered attention in 2013 when, at the age of 17, he won the German Amateur Championship, the highest-rated and most prestigious amateur event in Germany, defeating Roman Dietzel 4–2. In the years thereafter, he has made two appearances in the World Championship qualifying rounds, losing 10–6 to Noppon Saengkham in 2015 and 10–7 to Rory McLeod in 2016. He won his first European Tour match in the 2015 Riga Open, defeating Anthony Hamilton 4–0 before losing 4–0 to Stephen Maguire.

Kleckers won six matches at Q-School in May 2017, including victories against former pros Adrian Rosa and Martin O'Donnell, to obtain a two-year World Snooker Tour card for 2017–18 and 2018–19.

In 2009, Vahedi competed in the World Amateur Under-21 Snooker Championships in his native nation of Kish, Iran, reaching the final before losing 9–8 against Noppon Saengkham. Seven years after his defeat in Kish, Vahedi reached the final of the World Amateur Snooker Championship, where he defeated Andrew Pagett 8–1 to win the 2016 IBSF World Snooker Championship, earning him a two-year professional World Snooker Tour card for the 2017–18 and 2018–19 seasons. Vahedi won five matches at Q-School - Event 1 in May 2019 to earn a two-year World Snooker Tour card for the 2019–20 and 2020–21 seasons.

Lukas Klecker will not give an easy win to Vahedi hence the match will be a long one - bet for total frames to be under 9.5.

Soheil Vahedi is more experienced than Lukas and has already won a few matches against Lukas in the past, bet on Soheil Vahedi for the highest scoring break.

To pressurize the already pressurized Lukas Klecker, Soheil Vahedi will try its best to win the first frame; bet on Sohel Vahedi to win the 1st frame.
