Australia vs Netherlands Prediction: Australians Aiming to Advance to Semi-Finals

Australia and the Netherlands are meeting for the first time in the Davis Cup competition. The Dutch team hopes to reach the semifinals for only the second time in their country's history and the first time since 2001.

Australia is one of eight teams to have advanced to the knockout stage of the 2022 Davis Cup Finals, which begin this week in Spain.

The Dutch team was led by Botic Van de Zandschulp, who defeated top-20 opponents Taylor Fritz and Cameron Norrie.

The Dutch squad also includes a seasoned doubles partnership led by world No. 1 Wesley Koolhof.

If the match proceeds to a doubles decider, the Netherlands must be favored due to the extraordinary recent performance of world number one Wesley Koolhof. Back in September, Koolhok and Matwe Middelkoop were motivated to bring their country here at the cost of Great Britain, and the indoor circumstances favor the Dutch couple over Ebden and Purcell.

 Australia understands that winning in two games is their best chance. Because of these implications, this is a difficult match to predict in the markets, but pick De Minaur to win if at all feasible. Otherwise, Australia should be able to win this 2-0 and avoid a tough doubles match.
