Denis Shapovalov vs. Taylor Harry Fritz Prediction: Another Tough Competition Awaits You!

On Wednesday, fourth seed Taylor Fritz will face World No. 19 Denis Shapovalov in the second round of the 2022 Erste Bank Open.

Denis Shapovalov began his campaign against Jurij Rodionov in Vienna. He broke serve in the eighth game of the first set to take a 4-3 lead. The Austrian, on the other hand, rallied back to equal the score in the following game.

The Canadian broke his opponent's serve once again to go 5-4 up and then served out the set in the next game to win it. He broke Rodionov's serve to start the second set and held service in the next game to take a 2-0 lead. Following this, Shapovalov maintained his advantage.

Nishioka had three break points early in the second set, but Fritz was able to save them. With the match tied at 5-4, the American saved a match point with a brave hold of service. The match went to a tie-break, which the 2022 Indian Wells winner won to keep himself in contention.

Nishioka took the opening break of the deciding set, leading 3-1. Fritz then changed the script, winning the match 6-7(4), 7-6(7), 6-3 in five games.
