Novak Djokovic vs Frances Tiafoe Prediction: Betting on the Long Match

Novak Djokovic and Frances Tiafoe will face in the Laver Cup finals. They have played each other only once, a year and a half ago, and Novak won that match so he is the favorite. But let's not forget that Tiafoe has improved since then. In early September Francis could beat Nadal, so Djokovic must be serious about the upcoming game.

We haven't seen Djokovic on the court since mid-July and his Wimbledon victory. Since then, Novak has fallen in the ATP ranking, occupying only seventh line. As for the indoors, he has repeatedly won the Masters in Paris and the final tournament held in the hall. So a lot in the upcoming game will depend on Djokovic's form, which we can only guess about.

Unlike Djokovic, Tiafoe has been on the radar lately. The American played the U.S. Open at an excellent level, reached the semifinals but lost to Alcaraz in five sets. Alcaraz eventually won the tournament and climbed to first place in the ATP rankings. As for the indoors, Tiafoe has no titles, but there is, for example, reaching the final of the Vienna indoor last year, where he fell to Zverev.

It is hard to say anything specific about Djokovic but it is unlikely that after such a downtime he is at his peak. Meanwhile Tiafoe played at a good level at the U.S. Open, gained confidence due to the victory over Nadal. We believe that the American will fight the great Nole and win one set against the Serb. The only thing we are looking forward to is a long match.
