Elena Rybakina

Rybakina has already become the Wimbledon sensation, no matter how the finals end. Before Majors, she played only three matches on grass, losing twice to Rogers and Tsurenko. At the tournament, Elena knocked out Vandeweghe, Andreescu, Zhen, Martic, Tomljanovic, and Halep. Elena showed stability and confidence playing in the semifinals against the Romanian, while Halep wasn't at her best. Simona didn't fire once and had 9 (!) double faults. She had a mediocre second serve, which Helena overcame time and again, so the Romanian took a risk. The risk was not paid off, and Rybakina finished her in one hour and 17 minutes, 6:3, 6:3. Elena had 5/0 aces/double faults, 22/16 of winners/unforced errors ratio, and won 73% of her first-serve points, 53% of her second.

I was really focused today, and really happy with my performance. I think that I played really solid today. I don’t know how to describe it, but it was really, really good – usually of course I have ups and downs, coming from the nerves, but I think today I was mentally prepared.

Ons Jabeur

Jabeur's winning streak already stands at 11 matches. If she wins the Wimbledon finals, the Tunisian will finish the grass part of the season undefeated. Before Majors, Ons won the Berlin tournament with chic. In London she beat Bjorklund, Kawa, Parry, Mertens, Bouzkova and Maria. Ons had not lost a single set before the quarterfinals, but her matches against the latter two were three sets. Despite that, it's not fair to say that her victory was hard-fought. In the first set, the Tunisian won 6:2, and the second lost 3:6. The decisive game was the shortest, lasting only 27 minutes. Jabeur let the German take only one game. She made four aces and two double faults, 69% for the first serve, 68% for the second, and 39/30 of winners/unforced errors. What is striking is the percentage of points won by Ons on the second serve - as it was almost the same as on the first serve. That kind of stability is a sign of high skill. Also, recall that Halep lost to Rybakina mainly because of her poor second serve.

It’s a dream come true from years and years of work and sacrifice. I’m really happy that paid off. It was more difficult running for her balls. She killed me and she asked to make me a barbeque now to make up for all the running that I did on the court. I definitely wanted to share the moment with her in the end. She is such an inspiration for so many players, including me. Coming back after having two babies, I still can’t believe how she did it. Physically, she is a beast, she doesn’t give up on any point.

Expert Betting Tips

Rybakina made a real breakthrough, proving her high level with an impressive victory over Halep. However, we're still on the side of Jabeur. The Tunisian was one of the tournament's main favorites from the beginning. As expected, she surfed the tour without any slumps or troubles in the three-set matches. In addition, Ons has the confrontation's advantage on her side. We don't wait for a fast game and won't be surprised to see a tie-break.
