Avaya has installed its Avaya’s SDN Fx technology at the UAE's Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, promising guests, tenants, and IT teams quality network experience with no downtime.

A mixed-use tower, Burj Khalifa has residences, offices, common areas, leisure attractions and more. To meet tenants and visitors service-level expectations, it requires a networking platform that is secure, flexible, scalable and robust.

With Avaya’s SDN Fx networking technology, Burj Khalifa will also benefit from efficient network rollout, while ensuring reliability in service delivery and network access.

The system will allow for fast provision and management of services including Wi-Fi accessibility and access to personal devices.

At over 828 metres high, Burj Khalifa has a total built-up area of 5.67 million square feet. It has 1.85 million sq. ft. of residential space and over 300,000 sq. ft. of prime office space, and is home to the world’s highest observation deck.

Avaya said its SDN Fx, announced globally last February, is making strong inroads into iconic global projects and structures.
