Verizon Wireless, the biggest US cellco, will start selling the iPhone 4 from next January, Bloomberg reported.

China Mobile has blocked 5,419 WAP sites that allegedly offered adult content, a company official told a national information security work conference in Nanjing yesterday. 4,933 sites were based outside China.

Reliance Communications is planning to merge its DTH business Big TV with cable TV firm Digicable, said the Economic Times.

Foursquare, the company behind popular mobile social networking app and game, has raised $20m in series B funding, valuing the firm at $95m, WSJ said.

Ciscosaid it is working with MobileAccess to deliver solution that ensures in-building mobile coverage for enterprises using their existing LAN infrastructure.

Alcatel-Lucent has acquired ProgrammableWeb, a major source for web APIs used by application developers. It did not disclose financial details.
